Risen, Strewn

And though they lay strewn on the battlefield

some in more places than one

she rises

walks by the people that once were

with time they will disappear

memories gone

bones strewn

yet she will remember them

they cherished her while they could

in turn she sings of them to the trees of the earth

and she dances among them

brings hope for a future that will never be

dances among the fallen

as the fallen dance no more

in the sun

the rising sun
