Balcony Rainbows

I don't know about you

whether you find comfort in the sun

think of the rain as your confident

I love the in-between

right before the rain

right when it lifts and the sun trickles back

I love it because she does

as she stands on her balcony

eyes wide and hands up

in praise of God's wonder and weather

I love the in-between 

her rain and her sun and her prisms of colour

There's a rainbow by her feet

she's too busy with the dew to notice 

she's my gold at the end of the rainbow

on this misty spring morning
