If you're planning on blocking, do it before the following steps :)
Marking
Body piece: put 2 markers in the middle stitches of the bottom corners. There should be 3 stitches between 2 corner markers. Add 3 "side" markers pr corner on the 16th, 20th and 36th stitch from the first marker (respectively markers have 16-3-16 stitches between them). This is were the strap will meet the body.
Strap piece: put 4 markers in the middle stitches of the corners. Add 1 "side" marker pr corner on the 16th stitch from the first marker.
Sewing
Cut a piece of yarn 3x the length of what you're going to sew. Fasten the yarn , connecting the strap to the body marker closest to the "flap", lining up the two markers. Make sure to tie through the body stitches and only the back loop of the strap stitches (this gives the wanted strap look). Sew all the way through that side (I recommend sowing out of the body stitches and in through the strap stitches) using the markers as guides, then fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat on opposite side.
